Elm Street Park

This neighborhood park has two small play areas, lots of shaded picnic tables and a half basketball court.
One of the play areas is mostly shaded, the other is mostly sunny. There are lots of things to climb on, both your combined slides/climbing structure as well as monkey bars. There are also several slides. Of note is that there are two baby swings and a tire swing, but no standard swings.
This park just one block off Wisconsin Ave, very near lots of office buildings, making it a popular lunch spot for the office workers. There are lots of picnic tables, pretty evenly split between small ones that seat four (two comfortably) to large ones that seat 6. Almost all of them are in the shade. There are 3 open shelters/gazebos that are all clustered around and connected by a pergola. Several paths run through the grass of this block long 2.1 acre park.
On one edge of the park is an entrance to the Georgetown Branch trail that runs from Silver Spring to Bethesda where it connects with the Capital Crescent Trail. There is also a stone and metal statue titled "Girl with Hoop".

Lots of fences
(by Registered User: lorax)The park currently has lots of fences criss-crossing the park, signs say it is a Tree Protection Area. The paths and at least most of the picnic tables are still accessible as is the playground.
